MAJOR TYPES OF ETHIOPIAN COFFEES THAT MOCHALAND HANDLES
The world recognizes that Ethiopia is the origin of Arabica coffee and we at Mochaland will continue to develop unique product offerings by purchasing, processing and delivering the finest qualities of Ethiopian coffees.  Consequently, we handle the following types.

This coffee is delivered both in mild naturals form.  Among the many varieties of Yirgacheffee Coffee,  we handle the following types :

Kochere
Konga

Both Kochere and Konga coffees grow at an elevation of 1,500 to 2,200 meters above sea level on the slopes of mountain shoulders of Rift Valley. Yirgacheffee mild and naturals coffee has distinct inherent qualities of unique flavour , pointed body , well balanced  cup with an intense flora flavor

This coffee is delivered both in mild and naturals form.  It grows at an elevation of 1,500 to 2,200 meters above sea levelon the high slopes of mountain shoulders of the Rift Valley . Sidamo mild and naturals coffee have a distinct inherent qualities of balanced acidity and good body quality which is the uniqueness of Sidamo coffee.   Amongst the many varieties  of Sidamo coffee , we handle the following types:

Bensa
Shakisso
Aroresa
Arbegona.
Borena
Chire.   

This coffee is delivered both in mild and naturals form.  It grows at an elevation of 1,400 to 2,000 meters above sea level.  It has a well balanced   acidity and body with winey flavor.  We handle the following types :

Limu Seka
Limu Manna
Limu Kossa
Limmu Gomma

This coffee is delivered both in mild and naturals form.   Lekempti coffee grows at an elevation of 1,500 to 2,300 meters above sea level. Coffee is cultivated in the extreme mountain sides of west highlands.  Lekempti coffee has high quality of good acidity, medium body and pleasant fruity flavor.

With government policy decision which allowed vertical integration we intend to play the role of delivering high quality mild and naturals Ethiopian coffees and with coordination and support from our importing partners enhance greatly the income of our producer farmers

Beans

Ethiopian coffee beans of the species Coffea Arabica can be divided into three categories: Longberry, Shortberry, and Mocha. Longberry varieties consist of the largest beans and are often considered of the highest quality in both value and flavour. Shortberry varieties are smaller than the Longberry beans but, are considered a high grade bean in Eastern Ethiopia where it originates. Also the Mocha variety is a highly prized commodity. Mocha Harars are known for their peaberry beans that often have complex chocolate, spice and citrus notes.
